Welcome all to the new Music Marketing UK blog. I’ve been wanting to set up a music blog for some time now and, having been actively involved with online promotion for several years, both personally and professionally, thought now is the time to go ahead and do it and share my experience.
Also working as an active musician, being a music producer and DJ for the best part of 8 years now, my goal here is to combine the two and present tips, ideas, tricks and inspiration for anyone wanting to promote their music either online or offline and generally get one foot above the rest, set themselves apart from the average and achieve what they want to achieve musically.
I’m not saying I know all there is and what I say goes. That simply isn’t what I’m trying to achieve. I don’t consider myself to be an expert in either field. All I plan on doing is to try and make sense of and relay some of the information I’ve picked up along my way and present it to anyone who may find it useful in promoting themselves or the work they are involved with.
I’ve become quite interested in online promotion methods over the past few years as I’ve delved deeper and tried harder to push my work further, following trends, reading about new methods, developments and ideas that have the potential to work well for any musician or anyone working within the music industry. These are the things I’ll be working to post about as regularly as I can.
I hope this has given you an insight as to what you can expect from this blog in the future and has whet your appetite enough for you to come back and read some of my tips, ideas and stories. I’m sure there are many who will find this information not only helpful but also useful and effective and I’d love to hear from anyone who implements any of the suggestions made hereon in.
