Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Ashley and I am the sole owner of and writer for the Music Marketing UK blog.

I am an inspired individual who has been actively involved with (to varying degrees) all of the following:

  • DJing
  • Events promotion
  • Music production
  • Studio recording
  • Live performing
  • Remixing
  • Songwriting
  • Online marketing
  • SEO (search engine optimisation)
  • Social media
  • Website design and development
  • Writing
  • Being annoyingly enthusiastic
  • Pimping

… one of those may not be true.

I am an avid music producer, having remixed bands and produced music for various artists around the world as well as writing my own music for release under my own guises as well as collaborations and projects I have been involved with. My work has been used in the media and, athough I don’t push my own work as hard as I could, thoroughly enjoy every aspect from creation through completion to gaining publicity, although lack of time dictates how much (or little) time I can put into promoting my own work.

My skills in terms of promotion and marketing lie predominantly in the online world where this remains my forte, with the majority of this interest stemming from SEO and social media, and not marketing specifically.

My music sits/fidgets with a huge portion of its backside within Dance music, although I have experience in many genres within the umbrella of Electronica including Trip Hop and Chillout/Downtempo material.

Music Marketing UK Blog Owner
Welcome to my Music Marketing blog. I have been actively involved with online promotion for many years now, both professionally and in my spare time, and being an active musician for the best part of 9 years I felt I needed to share my knowledge and experience with those that would be most appreciative and could put it to good use.

My aim here is to combine the two areas into manageable chunks and present tips, ideas and inspiration for anyone wanting to promote their music online and offline and generally get one foot above the rest, set themselves apart from the average and achieve what they want to achieve musically. I'm hoping the information I post here can help you do just that.
